ShareGroop fintech fights against payment friction
ShareGroop transforms payment uses to simplify online shopping and support the growth of e-retailers.
The history of the project
ShareGroop was founded in 2015. Franck and his friends wanted to attend a rugby game at the stadium and sit next to each others. One of them had to buy the tickets for everyone but the global cost was too high. By the time they gather the right amount, the tickets were no longer available and they had to give up the project. This is when the idea of ShareGroop came up, with the aim of facilitating online group purchase by removing the money advance phase.
The paths of Richard and Florent crossed Franck and ShareGroop project in 2016. Richard developed the Split payment product and a year later, the solution was integrated at Air France, the first major partner account. Richard is now building the team to accompany him in the development and optimization of the different B2B2C group purchase solutions, accessible via API, to allow the international scalability of the model.
Florent joined the team with the mission of building customer loyalty and satisfaction. He now leads the Customer Success team to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of our solutions by our customers.
ShareGroop is not an mobile application, neither a pot, it is a payment solution directly integrated on e-commerce websites. First we developed one single experience to split a payment, which divided the order amount in several shares. Users test sessions and business meetings revealed the diversity of merchants and users needs. For example, from a user’s point of view, there are some people that initiate a group purchase after discussions whereas others want to suggest products to their friends while they don’t know whether or not they are interested.
Beyond Split payment, ShareGroop provides other group purchase modules like Viral booking, Installment payment, Giftcard with Money pot UX or the Group Service solution. We are building a strong knowledge on group purchase behaviour to offer our clients the most suitable experience. The startup reconciles the interests of both users and companies, preventing users from the inconvenience of advancing money and allowing companies to improve conversion and enrich the CRM with co-buyers’ datas.

Florent works on activation. He spent 6 years at P&G where he developed an expertise on UX and purchase behaviour analytics.
After 6 ans as Brand content manager at Le Monde and Lagardère, Lola is in charge of B2B leads generation and contents production for activation.
